Did a little more research on the defensive personnel tonight and came
to the conclusion that Lee Baker has a very valid point for doubting the
productivity of this years defense.
On the D-Line, our backups consist of redshirt freshmen (Harris, Clark,
Tatum) and sophomores (Campbell, Britt, Anderson). The D-Line as a unit
is lacking depth and has very little experience as a group. OJT will be
required early for those 3 freshmen.
Maybe this year, the secondary will help the D-line out. I have more
confidence in Peprah, Madison, Andrews and Jones than any group weve
had back there in a while.
I think we all agree that Wortham, Daniels, Pope, and Roach are as good
a linebacking corp as anyone in the SEC. They are certainly being hyped
that way.
We need a punter! Ziifle only averaged a little more than 38 yards a
kick. Surely we can find someone on the squad that can punt better than
that.
