I remember hearing his speech where he said,"Mr Gorbachev, tear down this
wall".  I was serving in Germnay at the time, and it was not too
long...maybe two years at the most that the wall did come down.  I was there
for that too.  East German's flooded West Germany, and the
autobahn...boy was that scary to come around a curve busting butt at 130
mph and see a little Skoda doing 50 or 60 in the left lane going around
another one..LOL  I had to pass in the breakdown lane a few times to
avoid rear ending someone.  But I digressReagan was the second greatest
President in my book.  Right behind Washington.

Still sitting in disbelief, but we as a nation are now poorer for his passing 
today!  President Reagan embodied the spirit and vitality of America, and I 
feel very fortunate to have served under his watch as Commander and Chief.  The 
ending of the Communist regime, the strengthening of our economy and 
military, and his ability to communicate with his fellow Americans will be his 
enduring legacy. I vividly remember his visit to the Capstone in 1984, and the 
absolute joy and enthusiasm of the gathered student body when he was given the 
Alabama "Gipper 1" jacket.  It had the feel of gameday, and it was worth missing my 
history midterm!
God Bless the Reagan family, and God Bless the United States for men that are 
willing to stand and defend liberty today!  I salute my former C-n-C, and say 
with pride, thank you for making us great again!  Hooah!
