As mentioned before, if you have some user settings (like you have
configured some theme or wallpaper), then installing Sabily will not
change the user settings, it only change the default settings, the
default settings only take effect if the corresponding user settings
  are not set.

Working on a fix for that.

That one was answereed in a previous email.

In the screenshot attached in another email, I can see that you are
using Unity. Unity has a bug that it only supports only a fixed set of
categories, a bug has been reported against Unity since Ubuntu 11.04
release, but the Ubuntu developers did not fix it yet. Anyways, the
default session in Sabily is GNOME Shell, not Unity.

Jazaki Illahu khairan. Please try GNOME Shell.

That error message could not happened when just transforming Ubuntu to
Sabily, it would happen when running Zekr.

The fix is to install ttf-me-quran: sudo apt-get install ttf-me-quran

I stopped going there more than a year ago, the reason is that they've
requested that I add more info in my profile (that I don't intend to
share) in order that I can be able to view the forums, so I quit.

Anyways, I don't have any more bandwidth for the forum.

When restarting the background is still unchanged

I haven't found wall papers from sabily to apply.

Should I send the log for the ttf-me-quran ?

I tried to use zekr, this warning message appear then when I wanted to listen
to alfatiha it is blocked for few seconds and finally I couldn't use the audio
player at all.

When I opened the menu to filter result, I haven't found islamic menu. I
remember I have seen such a menu in the beta sabily..

Sorry if my notes are not organized please tell me what other features are to
try ?

Re: [Sabily.team] wallpaper

2011-11-29 الحوار Abdelmonam Kouka
Assalamo alaykom,

OK, done and the document is attached.
Remark that:
- I put aqsa wallpapers (/usr/share/sabily-wallpapers/aqsa)
- I put the two backgrounds done by brother muslih for uhud and I suppose
that they should be under /usr/share/sabily-wallpapers/uhud and I ask you
please to package these two backgrounds to be placed there (and I propose
also to take this tradition: the wallpapers specific of a release should be
placed in a directory having the name of the release and placed under
/usr/share/sabily-wallpapers, what do you think?)
- I add also the following simple and beautiful wallpapers and I put them
under /usr/share/sabily-wallpapers/generic and I propose that you package
this photo to be placed here, and each time we have a beautiful and generic
wallpaper we add it to this collection named "generic". these wallpapers
are:
http://www.sabily.org/artwork/galerie/Wallpaper/11.04/sabily-wall-sbr-1.jpg
http://www.sabily.org/artwork/galerie/Wallpaper/11.04/Sabily-wall-sbr-3-wide.jpg
http://www.sabily.org/artwork/galerie/Wallpaper/11.04/Sabily-wall-sbr-3.jpg

What do you think?

PS1 : I think that photos under /usr/share/sabily-wallpapers/aqsa should be
renamed!
PS2 : I keep the file /usr/share/backgrounds/contest/background-1.xml as it
is, I don't know why it is included in the wallpapers xml file (it is the
second entry)! should I modify it?

(the ones that were used in screensaver, and Aqsa wallpapers), and also

others)?
