BTW; Martijn has just moved to his new house, so not to expensive :) Robert van der Veeke aka RJV Graphics [EMAIL PROTECTED] Currently listening to : X-Men - OST offical party slogan: One of these days, Hell will freeze over.

Hi Martijn. Wish I could help! Maybe you can get one of Frans van Egmont? Hello Frans van Egmont. If you should read this, please think about, if you can help Martijn. Otherwise I see all kind of developments in BDOS and programm adaptions for harddisk in danger. I wished to know how many SAMs are unused laying around... Re: Exploding SAM
What happened to SAMCo. Surely they must still have shed loads of them? Also - as Johnna said is there anything going on. Are there any companiesl eft selling stuff for the SAM Coupe. All we seem to hear about on this list is SimCoupe which we can no longer get the source for so we may as well not talk about it. What's the point in discussing something we have no say over. Anyway you can't beat a real SAM for the full effect. Luke P.S.How much is a Quazar Surround sound card? The website doesn't seem to be working properly. i.e. the price list don't work! P.S. How much is a Quazar Surround sound card? The website doesn't seem to be working properly. i.e. the price list don't work! The website is in a bit of a mess as only part of the new site is so far uploaded. Hope to get that sorted this weekend. (www.quazar.clara.net) (It does say its still under construction :) Colin P. Video Card
Colin has nicely sent me the prices of his surround sound card so that I can get lovely noises from my SAM, but has anyone in the SAM community created a graphics board for our lovely beastie? I had one of the original graphics boards from MGT (the ones that were a complete con!) which Simon Cooke now has. Still I've got his technical manual ;-) What are the chances of producing a graphics board that would remove the processing from the Z80 and allow for some new funky games to be produced. Just an idea - that I am sure has been mentioned in the past. Also what is the ATOM hard disk interface like - why is the disk split into 800K sections. Why wasn't a proper filesystem created to handle hardd isk properly? Luke ** This e-mail is private and confidential and is for the addressee only. Re: Exploding SAM
I could sell one, but 2 of the 3 I have have trouble with the keyboard, if that's not a big problem maybe we can work something out, I wouldn't want to be responsible for jeopardizing BDOS's development!!! He could always replace that dodgy keyboard with its own keyboard, the same goes for diskdrive, atom etc. etc... And in answer to Edwin, we tested it a bit and as far as i can see everthing was still in place. we thought that maybe his scart-cable was the culprit, but checking his Sam on my monitor and cable gave the same results. And furthermore even without the Atom it would not boot or start (with spacebar pressed off course). ASIC maybe? Why wasn't a proper filesystem created to handle hardd isk properly? Because I dont think people could afford to spend thousands of man hours designing MS Dos for SAM! Seriously, it's fast, it works - and it's bug free... and more to the point... BDOS is free! What else matters?
