we are running samba 2.2.8a on debian 3.0 using kernel 2.5.71 (ok beat me for that, but the motherboard sucks!) for 100 Win2k clients. Two clients have been identified which repeatedly fail to open a certain tif file. I got the following error message:
[2003/06/18 16:23:33, 0] smbd/service.c:make_connection(252) mmag-wrk-055 (10.100.1.133) couldn't find service teamfolde
The service "teamfolde" is shortend (perhaps by the logging code?), the share is named "teamfolders". There are currently no other known systematic errors or configuration issues.
Trying several logging levels including 10 did not result in helpful results because I cannot correlate the messages without a kind of transaction id.
Please give me a hint where to look futher.
