Re: [Samba] valid users field ?

2003-09-09 Thread Craig Herring
I'm using the RH 2.2.7 version and seems to work as :
@Domain Admins

These groups are the default domain groups from a windows domain
Actually, another thing I am trying to accomplish with this is to give Domain
Admins rights to all shares on the samba box. Would the 'admin users' entry
be better suited for this? However some of the shares are set up using force
user and force group (for some group shares). I read in the documentation
that this entry uses 'root' as the owner.

If you're using 2.2.* there is a bug in the parsing of the smb.conf:

Try this instead (it looks bad but works):

 valid users = @MIXEDDOMAIN+Domain Admins

[Samba] valid users field ?

2003-09-08 Thread Craig Herring
How do you specify Domain Admins in the field 'valid users'? There seems to be a
problem with the space between Domain and Admins. Is there a way to specify this as
a group?

Thanks,

RE: [Samba] PAM_MOUNT

2003-06-23 Thread Craig Herring
I've found the same.. I haven't been able to get it to work either...

Craig Herring

Does anybody on the list use pam_mount to mount smb file systems.

I have been looking at the instructions on
 http://www.flyn.org/projects/pam_mount/index.html however they do not
seem to work and I cannot see any information in messages.

 Thanks.
