[Samba] public share problem
Hi ! I have installed samba 3.0.1 as PDC with ldap backend - lets say DOM1. The problem is that users from DOM2 can't access public share on server - lets say server1, that is in DOM1. Ofcourse in smb.conf i have in server config and in share part. samba-log from server1: [2004/01/26 17:07:30, 0, pid=17921, effective(0, 0), real(0, 0)] auth/auth_domain.c:domain_client_validate(189) domain_client_validate: unable to validate password for user gnu in domain DOM1 to Domain controller \\PDC. [Samba] samba-3.0.0 and LDAP problems
Hi ! Theese logs i got on my domain member samba 3.0.0 server which is not connected to LDAP server - it use as password server a PDC and pam_ldap to have local accounts. It was compiled with ldapsam option but there is no LDAP options in smb.conf. [Samba] samba 3.0.0 spec file problem - OT ?

[Samba] hide files problem
Hi ! I want to hide files with names beginning with "." [Samba] samba 2.2.7a/LDAP backend problem ... bug ?
Hi ! Here is my story: I have working config. with samba 2.2.7a (compiled from sources), openldap-2.0.23-4 (rpms) on rh 7.3 (2.4.20 with ext3 patch). (First server is a LDAP server, second - PDC (samba with ldap), third - (samba joined to domain with ldap)). The problem: when i try to add user from domain to locaL nt/w2k group, in place where username should be displayed i have number with "\" before it. For ex: "\S-1-5-21-1.." - it looks like "winbind separator". I have disabled the winbind features in ./configure (--disable-winbind), i have no options about winbind in my smb.conf. [Samba] DOMAIN SID in samba ldap
Hi ! Where the DOMAIN SID is stored when the LDAP backend is used ? I got a lot of errors (C19b) when trying to log to samba domain from NT WRK.
