We now have (Samba 3.0): client plaintext auth client lanman auth client ntlmv2 auth lanman auth ntlm auth These provide most of the LMCompatabilityLevel policy. We also have: client schannel server schannel which map to the 'secure channel' policies We have restrict anonymous Mapping to a similarly named policy. We have 'client smb signing' Which maps to the Microsoft network client signing policies (allowing it, and this feature is not complete yet). I hope this is a start. Jonathan, Please give me an example. Which Samba help file are you referring to? I will try to accomodate your request, but am not clear at all what you are asking for. - John T. Re: [Samba] Wish list
You know your software is a success when people's wishlists include documenting how to fix the 'competitor's' software. [Samba] Wish list
In some future version of the Samba help file, it would be nice if for each option the equivalent (if applicable) Windows registry or group policy setting could be listed. This would be helpful when working with the Miscrosoft knowledge base, or when setting up a Windows NT/2K server to behave similarly to Samba. I know that for myself, I have found that Samba provides a solution for a problem (and is documented) but since the docs don't list a Windows equivalent, I can't fix Windows. --Jon -- To unsubscribe from this list go to the following URL and read the instructions: http://lists.samba.org/mailman/listinfo/samba
