You could probably get away with this: 1. remove the machines from the domain / change the name whilst you're at it ( change to a workgroup ) 2. Reboot XP machine 3. change the machines names in the smbpasswd / /etc/passwd files 4. add machines to the domain You should need to start/stop samba for this.
