Re: [Samba] Roaming Profile files remain locked after logout/shutdown
hi, I have the same problem! additionally sometimes the roaming profiles remain on the w2k workstation. the latter problem could be eased by the following part of the startup.bat xcacls %USERPROFILE% /T /C /E /G %USERNAME%:FO /Y xcacls %USERPROFILE% /T /C /E /G Administratoren:F /Y xcacls %USERPROFILE% /T /C /E /G System:F /Y but, the problem is not completely solved. I also observe profiles like jo jo.DOMAIN jo.DOMAIN.000 jo.DOMAIN.001 SMITH Gregory C. schrieb: Our floater secretaries roam around the office constantly. Recently they've complained that they only get a temporary profile and a warning that their romaing profile is unavailable when they move from one station to another within a few minutes. Looking into this I found that files in their profile remain locked after they had logged out and even shut down the workstation they were on. I watched them log out cleanly so it's not a luser problem. Is this a timeout or network issue? -- To unsubscribe from this list go to the following URL and read the instructions: http://lists.samba.org/mailman/listinfo/samba
Re: [Samba] Roaming Profile files remain locked after logout/shutdown
if the client machine does not logout cleanly, u can try to set keepalive shorter - as workaround... also please check the security rights on the client-copy of the profile. sometimes, there's files in there, which loosed permissions. the w2k does not copy the profile... but, the problem is not completely solved. I also observe profiles like jo jo.DOMAIN jo.DOMAIN.000 jo.DOMAIN.001 as far as i know this issue was discussed and solved a view months before... i think it was nt acl support = no in profiles section, but refer archives please... gk -- To unsubscribe from this list go to the following URL and read the instructions: http://lists.samba.org/mailman/listinfo/samba
