The ideal candidate will also create a standardized process around how to configure and implemt this process – so having a strong process and leadership type background is going to be key! Being able to take ownership of this Tool and being able to help mentor and guide seasoned and more junior staff. This MySQL DB will be running on RED HAT Linux. Clearly an understanding of REDHat is going to be a huge deal. Lastly, Process and communication experience General Description: 7+ years database design and administration experience. Proven ability to provide in-depth consulting services in the identification and resolution of database issues with SQL 2012 and 2K8R2. Plans, analyzes, designs, implements, maintains, and controls the organization's databases. Experience with MYSQL and Encryption technologies. Strong verbal and written communication skill and basic technical project management experience. Expertise in SQL and MySQL performance tuning, DB tuning parameters, administration, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, maintenance and monitoring, version upgrades and patching. Experience in clustered environments, power shell and VB Script. Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
