Location: Parsippany, NJ (Local Only) Duration :6 Months (Extendable) Rate: Open Interview: Immediate Start Date: ASAP *POSITION SUMMARY * · The *Data Warehouse Specialist* position is responsible for the design, development, refinement and ongoing maintenance of the various Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) data sourcing ETL activities across the CLIENT’S enterprise. This position will be involved in all aspects of programming, data preparation, cleanup and conversion, testing and quality monitoring, troubleshooting, implementation, documentation, as well as customer support. Data Warehouse Specialists collaborate with data stewards and other staff to ensure data integrity, consistency, security and privacy in all database and software projects and work collaboratively with other team members to develop and improve standardized data management operations and data quality control methods in accordance with CLIENT’S Data Governance Program policies and objectives. *JOB DETAILS:* To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science or Information Technology and/or 8 years of related experience. Health Care or other relevant industry experience is preferred. *SKILLS * - Experience with ETL programming and customer support, database data matching, cleaning and load operations, and/ or database analysis and reporting. - 3 years + experience in Design, development, and implementation of complex SSIS packages on Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or higher in data warehouse/data mart environments. - Strong Transact-SQL (T-SQL) query and stored procedure development - Expert in load design strategies and ETL optimization techniques - SQL Server Analysis Services (multi-dimensional cube) and MDX development experience - Data modeling experience – using Erwin or Power Designer. - Demonstrated organizational, analytical, research and problem-solving skills. Must be detail oriented and able to handle multiple priorities as well as possess decision making and negotiating skills. - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Able to work in a team environment with strong interdependent partnering skills striving to create and maintain a positive relationship with all customers. - Beneficial experience includes Visual Basic/MS .Net technology, Web Services, the HP Quality Center Suite, Software AG’s WebMethods, SAP’s Business Objects/Crystal Reports, SAS, Oracle and/or ASG’s Zena products *ESSENTIAL DUTIES & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES* include the following. *Data Sourcing* · Design, develop and maintain ETL architectures · Design, develop and maintain reusable ETL code assets · Develop and maintain best practices and standards related to data integration · Ensure alignment of ETL architecture and design and development activities with overall EDW direction · Lead production support activities related to data integration issues · Data analysis on potential source systems including data profiling · Create/modify source system to EDW mappings including required transformations and data quality criteria and processing · Assist in the resolution of production issues related to ETL routines · Develop and maintaining logical and physical data warehouse models · Establish standards and best practices · Ensure all design and development activities are in alignment with the overall architecture blueprint · Provide oversight and guidance to all technical team members. · *Data Governance* · Participate in Data Governance efforts, including; o Following policies, procedures and standards o Ensures work efforts are in compliance with Data Governance efforts o Prepare Data Governance Documentation as required. o *Production Support:* · Coordinate the resolution of production support activities · Coordinate the implementation of post-production defect repair, bug fixes and minor enhancements · Assist in the creation of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and/or Operating Level Agreements · Assist in the transition from development to production · *Project Management* · · Report on status and results to project manager and team leads at needed time frames. · Attend weekly status meetings with IS or project team personnel. · Follow Client’s change control processes and procedures · Create and maintain programming documentation, including: documents to describe program development, logic, coding and/corrections, flowcharts and diagrams, user instructions · Create and manage testing-related components of systems implementation project plans, including: task identification; work estimation; and, resource assignments. · Coordinate plan updates with project manager and coordinator. · Perform and/or monitor completion of all testing-related tasks, including escalation and intervention/resolution when delays are anticipated and/or recognized. · Identify issues and risks. · Assist the team with translation of business requirements to system configuration specifications and ensure test plans address traceability to requirements. *Regards,* *SAM* Technology Resource Group Inc. 3736 Hillsdale Court Santa Clara, CA 95051 *Office:* *Office**:* *408-709-1760* *Ext* *: **974 | Cell: **415-259-4032* <408-933-9520> *Gtalk/YIM:* <http://www.tresourceinc.com/> *sam.professional007*| *Fax:* 408-213-8316 s...@tresourceinc.com | www.tresourceinc.com <https://www.linkedin.com/pub/sam/52/a9b/138> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP ABAP" group.
