Technical Manager. This would be someone with a strong technical

management. *Knowledge of Agile is a must*

This is not just a PM role. This is someone who comes from a *technical
background.*

As a manager, I have always felt that having knowledge and experience
regarding technology is essential to manage people with these skills and
abilities. It is not necessary be a hands on coder, but be able to
understand and evaluate a solution that someone provides including the
estimate. Here is a list of things required in the Technical Manager role
(but not limited to):

• Leads and manages the team – Must be self-motivated and able
to motivate others

• Responsible for resource management and staffing for projects
– Plans delivery to meet business goals by planning what and how many
resources are needed (resource planning).

• Reviews potential candidates and interviews for general
technical skills and fit within the team

• Works with PM to determine budget for projects and timeline
for delivery.

• Works with Release management, Incident Management, and
Production Support teams to ensure delivery is communicated and knowledge
transfer takes place

• Partners with Product Owners on priorities and delivery.

• Responsible for ensuring quality of delivery – Understands
how the technical solution fits with the goals of the business.

• Supports and coaches the team - Focus on learning and
improving.

• Escalation point for issues that cannot be resolved within
the team.

• Partners with other teams on delivery including understanding
impacts to external systems.

• Oversees the delivery and assigns work as necessary. Teams
are mostly self-directed so this should align more with coaching and
leading than managing.

• Responsible for the estimation of work. Works with the team
and makes sure all are participating and engaged in delivery.

• Ability to get up to speed quickly and can understand the
business.

*I appreciate if you can refer anyone who is suitable for this requirement
and looking for the new opportunities*

Thanks and Regards

*Todd Parks*
