Experienced in writing detailed report specification with Actuate suite of products such as Actuate and BIRT. Skilled in creating reports using Actuate BIRT with exposure to installation and configuration. Responsible for developing Reports based on functional Requirements. Good experience in creating customized reports, filters, charts in Actuate Dashboard reports Hands on development experience in Core Java, J2EE, Core java design patterns. In depth experience of working with Weblogic or WebSphere application servers is a must. Responsibilities: Hands on design and development experience in reporting tools such as Actuate and BIRT along with Core Java, J2EE with ability to write Functional and Technical Design specifications. BIRT report engine, BIRT designer, Report Viewer, Chart engine, export data, report pagination Life cycle of BIRT Anatomy of BIRT report – data, data transforms, business logic, presentation Installing and configuring BIRT designer, framework designer, JDBC drivers, deploying to Java EE server, common problems Configure the repository under Eclipse, checking in / out code from source control BIRT reporting functions – 2 pass aggregates, BIRT scripting, integration with JavaScript and Java objects BIRT Error reporting Should be able to leverage Business Requirement Document (BRD) and Use Case document to develop Functional and Technical design document for development teams. Experienced individual with capability to work with Business Analysts, Developers and QA testing team is a must for this position Experienced in working with large teams that are responsible for design, development, testing and implementing software solutions is a big plus. Excellent problem solving skills and experience with Agile methodology and SDLC to translate business requirements into software solution, understanding architecture, design, integration, testing and implementation. Must have excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team, take ownership of deliverables together with excellent educational background with minimum of 4 year’s B.S. in Computer Science.
