*Role : Cognos Framework Manager Architect* *Duration : 6 Months* *Location : Greensboro NC* • 10 years IT experience, 6 + years of IBM Cognos experience, and 6 + years Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence experience, Cognos suite v10.1.1 • Primary focus of the role will be architecting, designing and building Cognos FrameWork models • Exposure in full life cycle development of data warehouse/data mart projects and creating enterprise data warehouse Universes • Extensive experience building complex standardize reports • Extensive experience building complex Metalayers • Ability to implement security • Expertise in all modules of the Cognos Suite (Framework manager, PowerPlay, Query Manager, Metrics studio, business insights, query and report studio, active reports, etc.) • Expertise in gathering, analyzing and documenting Business Requirements, Functional Requirements, System Test Cases and Use Cases, Performance Testing Requirements, and Data Specifications for Business Objects Universes and Reports. • Expertise in Dimensional Data Modeling, Physical and Logical Data Modeling using Star / Snowflake Schema involving the usage of Erwin or data model designer Tools • Candidates are skilled in RDBMS and OLAP design/development • Experience with VLDB (Teradata, DB2, Oracle) • Experience working with retail/manufacturing industry applications and data a plus • Candidate must have strong analytical skills as well as being detail oriented and be able to apply those skills in a variety of situations such as system design, trouble shooting, business process re-engineering, documentation and problem solving • Must be a self-starter, highly customer focused, have a team attitude and excellent verbal and written communication skills • MS Office Tool Suite, Excel, data warehouse/data marts/star-schema design/development experience. • Should have at least over 5 years technical experience working closely with business customers and successfully solving their information needs. • Ability to train and coach new Cognos Users -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP BASIS" group.
