However, it is strongly desired* ****Manager may conduct initial phone interviews but personal interviews are REQUIRED for In person Interview, NO Skype, NO exceptions* *Financial System Project Manager* is a critical position that will assist in the management of the project to replace the Performance Accounting general ledger system for the agency. The position will be under the direction of the Finance Director and Program Manager / Agency Project Manager. *The primary focus of this position will be ensuring that the financial requirements are documented and that business needs are communicated and coordinated between finance, IT, and the vendor. Project Manager Responsibilities Assist with the development, planning, and implementation of PeopleSoft Financials.* Understands business and technical objectives of the project and works closely with the project sponsor, vendor, and IT Project Manager. Document risks and issues and develops mitigation plans. Assist in Documenting high-level functional and business requirements and processes. Identify current and future business reporting needs. Creates and implements a communication plan to project sponsor, vendor, IT Project Manager, and other stakeholders. Negotiates resources between multiple divisions. Provide PeopleSoft Financials expertise to project team members. Coordinate and document user acceptance testing. Ensures schedules align and maintains tasks, estimates, and status while disseminating information to team members. Document and provide knowledge transfer to the project team for all solutions. Other duties as required. Skills Strong demonstrated experience with implementation of PeopleSoft Financials. Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
