*Initially 12 months, with potential to convert to a perm employee, so US Citizens/GCH will be first considered. * Position Title: Application Analyst/Developer Location: Blue Ash, OH 45242 Duration: 12 months (potential contract-to-hire) Phone or FTF Interview: Phone/Skype *Position Description:* The Application Analyst/Developer is responsible for leading in all facets of the systems development lifecycle for application enhancements of various sizes and complexities related to the Toshiba ACE application performing a variety of technical duties. The Application Analyst Developer performs many of these tasks independently and communicates with the appropriate teams to ensure that assignments are delivered with the highest of quality and in accordance to standards. The Application Analyst/Developer will assist with the implementation a new solution, test and help support the hardware and software for Self-Checkout project. A well-qualified candidate will have both application enhancements and a strong Java development background. Experience with optimizing performance, automating test, builds, and deployments are also critical. Qualified resource is experienced developing with web service development and Java/J2EE web services. The Developer side of this position is responsible for aiding in the design, development, and testing, debugging, maintaining and documenting software components in accordance to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices. The Developer has overall responsibility in the technical design process. Participates in the application technical design process and completes estimates and work plans for design, development, implementation, and rollout tasks. The Developer also communicates with the appropriate teams to ensure that assignments are delivered with the highest of quality and in accordance to standards. The Application Developer strives to continuously improve the software delivery processes and practices. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others. *Essential Job Functions: * · Partner with appropriate teams and vendors to deliver software solutions according to SDLC best practices. · Build partnerships across the application, business and infrastructure teams. · Develop programming specifications. Design, code and unit test application code using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices. · Partner with the appropriate teams and vendors to expedite issue resolution and manage to SLAs. · Support and maintain applications utilizing required tools and technologies. Provide support for applications, including involvement with the appropriate teams. Provide off-hours support (24 x 7) as required. · Create technical system documentation and ensure that this documentation remains current throughout all phases of the SDLC. · Establish priorities for enhancements/modifications of application. · Develop programming specifications.
