Title: QA Analyst with testing electrical component exp Location: Houston, TX Duration: 12+ Months Starts: ASAP No of Positions: 2 Rate: $DOE Required Skills: 1. Experience writing test plans. The test engineer must have an understanding of electrical and software requirements and be able to write and communicate test plans to address those requirements. 2. Experience testing electrical components and software. The test engineer must be familiar with test setups, diagnostic equipment, and troubleshooting. 3. Experience writing test reports and documentation. The test engineer must have technical writing/documentation skills. He or she will supply the reports and documentation reviewed internally by controlled title holder engineers, externally by third party certifying agencies, and potentially by customers. Documentation will be considered in Design Reviews. PLEASE SEE JOB DUTIES AND CRITERIA: * Perform and analyze basic and advanced testing needed for product development activities in the Engineering Laboratory * Write and develop programs to automate and monitor tests * Oversee the weekly audit tests on product, record results, and communicate any quality alerts as necessary * Analyze weekly data test results and provide year-end summary * Assist in the general maintenance and upkeep in the lab by insuring that the labs systems are functioning properly * Test existing product changes and new product developments as directed by the Lab Supervisor * Recommend and develop improved testing processes and techniques * Perform and complete Lab Work Requests (LWR) assigned by the Lab Supervisor * Strong problem solving, time management and attention to detail skills * Knowledge of remote I/O protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, OPC, etc * Oil & Gas, Drilling industry experience * Industrial control experience * Experience with GE Mark VIe Control System * Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to focus on delivering results in a dynamic environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities.
