The candidate accepting this position must be:
A strong (~5 years) Ruby development experience
Able to drop in to existing code, and quickly begin testing and fixing
issues
Be part of a close team and pair-code as needed
Responsibilities:
Be part of the Agile Scrum Team: attend daily stand-up meetings, attend
iteration planning meetings
Pickup defects, identify, and resolve problems at the System Level.
Work closely with QA to address issues identified quickly
Be adaptive to last minute changes to the requirements and architecture and
work flow
Work on assigned user stories and defects
Understand RSPEC and be able to fix issues
Minimum Requirements:
5 years of programming experience in a large scale project.
Must have a HIGH level of proficiency coding in in Ruby and/or Ruby on Rails
Proven ability to develop and deliver high-quality features and fixes in
Ruby/Java on schedule
Good communication skills and ability to work with support organization
Independent and self-motivated
BS or higher in Computer Science or Related Field
Additional desired skills:
Ability to learn quickly and critically
Creative problem solving and debugging skills
Experience working in Agile development environment
Manager would also consider Java Engineers with RPM and Ansible and no Ruby
in their background
