*Job Titel : SAN Storage Consultant with SVC ExperienceLocation : Waukegan ILDuration : 6+Months ContractJob description:* This position is responsible for storage administration and support in a IBM SVC Virtualized storage environment which includes CISCO SAN switches and multi-vendor block and NAS storage devices at multiple locations. The role will be primarily responsible for independently provisioning and reclaiming storage, performing zoning, troubleshooting SAN issues, monitoring capacity and performance and ensuring 24x7 availability of the storage environment. *JOB REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. 5 years of relevant IT work experience. Must have strong, hands-on experience in the administration of IBM SVC, storage provisioning, reclaiming and performing data migrations. Hands-on experience with SVC replication tools and technologies including TPC, TPC-R, Global Mirror. Working knowledge of various SAN frame technologies, including IBM DS8870, IBM XIV, Hitachi VSP/HUS-150/HUS-VM, IBM Flashsystem. Coordinate failed h/w parts replacement with vendor and follow established HCSC Change Management processes. Experience with 24x7 on-call storage administration support. Must have solid knowledge of Excel and tools to increase productivity of routine storage administration tasks including building CLI commands. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with other functional areas of IT. Ability to handle multiple tasks, with tight deadlines concurrently.
