*JOB DESCRIPTION:*



*Responsibilities:*

As a member of a scrum team, responsible for quality assurance and
functional analysis.  Communicates effectively with business and technical
team members to clarify requirements, write stories, and perform QA
testing.

We need a resource with time and attendance background and strong BA
skills, with QA and config skills. On this project our BA/QA people do
configuration of pay rules, shift premiums, entitlement policies, etc., all
of which is quite technical and requires unit testing and the ability to
indicate to the development team what configuration needs to be migrated
along with their code.  So, they need to be able to do some documentation
and elicitation of requirements as well as be technical enough to configure
and test.  Background configuring a time and attendance solution such as
Kronos, Workbrain or Infor HCM skills would be ideal.

*Quality Assurance:  *Create test plans based upon requirements.  Work with
business to ensure test plans are complete.  Execute manual test scripts
for new functionality.  Document bugs with clear steps to recreate.
Include negative testing and take pride in catching bugs in what is
currently being tested as well as in areas outside of what is being tested
in current sprint.  Suggest application improvements through proper
channels based upon past experience and a desire to deliver a quality
product.  Work with other QA team members to plan and create automated
scripts in Test Complete to build and maintain a full regression suite over
time.

*Functional Analysis*:  Active participation in requirements sessions with
the project team.  Responsible for ensuring requirements are well
understood and testable.  Asks probing questions based upon a combination
of knowledge of the application and past experience with software design
and delivery.  Acts as a bridge between developers and the business to
ensure everyone is on the same page on requirements through effective
communication skills and a probing nature.  Ability to translate
requirements into stories and acceptance criteria.   Coordinates focus
meetings as needed to further clarify requirements to help the team reach
consensus on deliverables.

*Qualifications:*

At least 3 years’ experience in a quality assurance role. Proven experience
in requirements clarification and story writing.

A solid track record of the following:

?         Bachelor’s degree required

?         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

?         QA skills in the areas of test planning, writing and manually
executing cases and scripts, ensuring test plans are complete by
coordinating with the business and technical teams, recording and fully
documenting bugs, consistent tracking of testing progress via a tool such
as TFS, RTC, etc.  Automated testing experience a plus but not required.

?         Analytical skills in requirements clarification, story writing,
acceptance criteria writing.

?         Effectively managing time with minimal supervision, managing
multiple priorities and ensuring assigned tasks are worked on in order of
priority

?         Consistent communication of progress via established processes,
assertiveness to follow up appropriately with team members in order to meet
deadlines

?         Experience working in an Agile / Scrum environment.

?         Working knowledge of SQL or other query tool are a plus

Skills and experience in the following areas are a plus:

?         Time and attendance or payroll applications (calculation of
overtime, scheduling, shift premium calculations, etc.)

?         SQL queries on backend data

?         Automated testing
