*Job: *Technical Designer / Architect *Location: *Kansas City, MO S*tart Date:* ASAP *Duration:* 6-12 months *Interview:* Phone, Skype *Client: *Direct *Details:* Technical Designer / Architect to work closely with our solutions architect on overall design questions and decisions during a re-write of our core enterprise application this year. The team focuses on delivering applications following established Agile Scrum methodologies including User Stories, Story Points, Sprints, Backlog Grooming, and Retrospectives. They also rely heavily on automated testing and application development life-cycle tools such as JUnit & JMock. We are looking for someone who can mentor existing staff on the new tools as well as complete coding, and to:. · Participate throughout the development life cycle focused on analysis, design, construction, and implementation of mature production systems. · Develop and troubleshoot applications based on the JEE stack (Java, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, etc..) · Write and maintain Oracle stored procedures, functions and triggers. *Qualifications: *This role requires team members who want to work throughout the software development life cycle handling everything from the re-write to enhancements to production support. Technical expertise needs to include: · Expert-level JEE6-Java Enterprise Edition 6 skills including JavaServer Faces (JSF), Java Persistence API (JPA), and Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) against an Oracle database. · CDI Contexts and Dependency Injection. · Testing using JUnit, JMock, Arquillian, and Cucumber. · Client-side single page application frameworks a plus.
