Role: AIX Admin Location : Springfield, MA Duration: 6 Months • Responsible for installing and managing IBM AIX systems. • Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while performing other job responsibilities. • Strong IBM AIX and VIO administration skills. • Strong System troubleshooting skills. • Strong programming experience (shells, Perl, etc.). • Hands-on experience with current server hardware technologies • ITIL Certified and / or Familiarity on ITIL Functions (Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management etc.,) • Mentor L1 team members • Directs management of system problems, identifying and solving problems as rapidly as possible, providing critical and essential troubleshooting services on UNIX systems enterprise-wide. • Develops system management processes for UNIX system administration, backup/recovery, virtualization management, and utilization of Monitoring and Management tools for daily management and administration functions.
