major BO Upgrade project.  As our Sr. BO Developer, you will develop and
remediate reports to ensure that they upgrade successfully from BO 3.2 to
BO 4.2. The majority of reports are built over Oracle eBusiness Suites R12.

*Responsibilities*:

· Facilitate end user requirements and working sessions.

· Synthesize the analysis work with the characteristics of the
existing data warehouse (internally defined as the "Operational Data Store
) and Reporting infrastructure, to derive the appropriate technical
approach for data storage, mining and dissemination.

· Collaborate with universe developers to design BO reporting
universes this requires understanding of contexts, aggregate awareness and
universe linking and integration of data.

· Work with end users to create reporting templates and mock ups.

· Debug and solve problems by tracing from the report all the way
to the source.

· Strong knowledge on the universe capabilities.

· Ability to create open document URL's

· Working Knowledge on explorer infospaces and indexing.

· Live office knowledge ( preferred)

· Understand of BI 4.0 capabilities.



This position requires flexibility, creativity and initiative. Candidates
should be self-starters who enjoy working with an international team of
people. Candidates must be able to multi-task their workload assignments.
Candidates must be fluent in spoken and written English, have strong
writing and communication skills, and be team players

*Desired Skills*:



· Strong understanding of Business Objects Integration with SAP and
release of latest suite of tools.

· Working knowledge of business Objects client tools (Universe
designer, Information Manager, Xcelsius, Explorer, Webi and Crystal
Reports.)

· Strong knowledge of Business Objects SDK with JAVA and JSF
knowledge.

· Knowledge on BW Architecture and Reporting (Cubes, DSO's, Bex
Analyzer and Workbooks).

· Experience creating universes against SAP BW OLAP sources.

· Ability to understand the MDX generated from SAP BW OLAP source.

· Hands on experience on the usage of SAP BO 4,0 suite of tools.

· Hands on knowledge of building dashboard and coming up with mock
up design.

The resource selected for this contract is a Technical Consultant for the
development and maintenance of Business Objects for the Michigan Department
of Transportation (MDOT).
Work with business users, project team to understand the application and

   - Maintain and foster collaborative efforts with all integrated business
   functions and the IS team to identify, establish, and share best practices

   - Design and create key architectural components, such as Universe

Responsibilities:
1.   Provides system administration for our Business Objects 4.x
environment that can include but is not limited to account creation,
permissions,modifications, configuration, backups, restores, provisioning
of resources, and other related activities.
2.   Provide capacity analysis and management, forecasting the need for
data migrations and expansion in storage capacity.
3.   Create and deliver client support for account permissions and
profiles. o Repair and apply patches to server software.
4.   Participates in system builds, installations, and maintenance.
Monitors the daily health of the operating systems and responds to backup
related issues.
5.  Triage all help desk tickets, resolve, and if necessary escalate issues
to engineers. Complete work orders, break/fix, and user administration task
6.   Provide support for installation of new applications. Maintain and
support system backups. Provide for business continuity during server
  related problems.
7.   Provide for disaster recovery contingencies.
8.   Create and maintain specifications, system designs, procedures, and
logs.
9.   Document all processes, system changes/fixes, and issues.
10. Maintain consistent standardization for the server environment,
infrastructure, functions, and objects. Participate in project-based work.
11. Provide design and implementation expertise. Support project teams on
data migrations, server upgrades, rollouts, and production turnover.
12. Review server and application requirements. Review, evaluate, and test
new technology and new products from vendors.

Due to the extraordinary amount of money being provided for the rebuilding
and recovery from the impact of Superstorm and Post-Tropical Cyclone Sandy,
administering, tracking and monitoring is essential.  The State currently
does not have one system in place to provide a method to track and/or
report on these funds.  Those Agencies that are receiving the bulk of the
funds have already been evaluating and implementing solutions to track and
report.  The Office of Information Technology is assisting the Governor’s
Office of Recovery and Rebuilding in identifying the appropriate sources
for data input into the internal dashboard.  However, as identification is
taking place, it’s apparent that the data will need to be housed in a
central repository and also interface with the State’s financial system.
 This project will consist of, but not be limited to, identifying all State
Agencies that will receive federal funds for Sandy, coordinating the data
inputs into the Governor’s internal dashboard and State interfaces, and
working with developers to develop a State data warehouse for Sandy data.
This endeavor will require a Business Intelligece Developer. Under
direction of the Project Manager or designee in the Office of Information
Technology (OIT), the Business Intellegence Developer will assist the
Project Manager and Project Technical Architect constructing the solution
to meet the objective of the project.  The Business Intelligence Developer
will be responsible for the construction, testing and deployments of
operational and analytical Extraction, Transformation and Load development
and operational and analytical reporting, including:
Developing the solution consistent with the New Jersey Enterprise
Information management Framework and the New Jersey Shared IT Architecture
Assisting the Project Manager Business Analyst and Data Architect with
requirements gathering and analysis
Assisting the Business Analyst with the Creating of detailed data flow

Job Description:
This role will be responsible for working with BI Business Analysts and
business SME's to process Universe and Reporting requirements, design
develop and deliver appropriate solutions
Candidate should have strong facilitation skills and experience leading
design/development workshops - Candidate should have experience developing
in an agile manner
Candidate should have significant experience building, customizing and
optimizing Business Objects Universes
Candidate should have experience with BOBJ installations on top of SAP
Business Warehouse (specifically Universes built using BeX Queries)
Nice to have - Candidate should have experience with the PLM module of SAP
(EHS, and QM)
Candidate should have experience introducing new reporting methodologies to
end users and influencing their use (IE moving from data dumps to exception
reports and dashboards)
Candidate should have experience in WEBI, Crystal and Dashboards
Candidate will be responsible for technical documentation.
