CAD/CATIA Candidates
Erlanger, Kentucky (41018) until June 2017

Packaging Design & Testing
· Utilize CAD/CATIA to design optimal package for high-cost part
numbers.
· Confirm drawing concepts w/ NAMC/Supplier user groups to gain
consensus.  Adjust packaging drawings in CAD / CATIA as required.
· Lab-test (Shake Test / Incline Test / Oscillation Test, etc.)
part in prototype packaging to confirm quality & workability.
· Field test applicable packaging with parts to confirm process
workability issues with NAMC PE/Mfg.
· Adjust drawings / specs as required to meet required standards
· Confirm all drawing specs meet Packaging criteria & standards.

Project Management
· Support packaging development schedules for responsible group of
suppliers/part numbers.
· Follow-up with suppliers to confirm/validate 12-step process for
packaging development is on-schedule.  Support activity with Suppliers &

Fabricators to develop countermeasures if delay or issues occur.
· Support team to ensure Packaging Standards are implemented for
each project.

Supplier Management
· Confirm supplier and NAMC processes to ensure packaging and
process interact to maintain quality, safety, productivity standards.
· Fabricator process & capacity confirmation to ensure packaging
development milestones are met for new model SOP.
· Investigate root cause with packaging issues related to safety,
quality, workability, and cost.

Requirements:
· Proficient in AutoCAD/Solidworks/Catia and MS Office
(Excel/Access/Word)
· Must have Engineering degree and Technical experience.
· Ideal Degree: Packaging, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or
Supply Chain related.

Preferred:
· 2+ years automotive packaging development experience
· 2+ years automotive logistics project management experience
· TPS knowledge

Additional Qualifications: (if needed)
· Strong communication skills and capability to troubleshoot
problems without significant problems/issues
