Database Administrators design, install, configure, manage, and support technical components within the database environment including creating database schemas, objects, and structures (tables, indexes, views, etc.). *General database administration* • Edit instance and database configuration files/settings • Create database schemas/objects/structures (tables/indexes/views/etc.) • Stop / start instances and databases • Develop scripts to automate administrative activities – update scripts based on database changes • Create new copies of existing schemas • Unload/Load/Copy Table Data • Install/update standard data management utilities, e.g. backups and data/index reorgs. and standard monitoring scripts • Perform special request database backup and recovery • Clone data between databases • Perform database tuning • Periodic reviews of instance and database configuration parameters, ensuring that they are still appropriate • Periodic reviews of storage utilization and growth patterns, ensuring that current allocations are still appropriate *On request perform general database troubleshooting* • Read database and system log files • Read application log files • Using system diagnostic tools to monitor/understand system performance *Deploy new instances and databases and associated database tools and upgrade and apply patches as needed* • Install DBMs software • Install database client software • Install CDC replication software • Install monitoring tools *Support application deployment on systems * • As needed/requested review explain plans and SQL code • Create and update source and target table replication subscriptions. *Migrate databases (from one platform to another)* • Analyze current database to understand database settings/configurations • Copy database settings/configuration and objects to new database • Copy data from one database to another Thanks & Regards, Sridhar EZEN Computer Services Inc. 609-945-7416 || Fax 609-452-5613 srid...@e-zencomp.com Live Chat: hiring...@yahoo.in -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP or Oracle Financials" group.
