Working level knowledge using Security Information and Event Management
Tools like IBM QRadar
Working level knowledge using Network Vulnerability Assessment tools like
eEye Retina
Working level knowledge using Application Vulnerability Assessment tools
like BurpSuite or similar tool set.
Working level knowledge using Database Vulnerability Assessment tools like
AppDectective
Working level knowledge of Windows and UNIX/Linux server operating systems
Experience with penetration testing tools like MetaSploit
Experience with process lifecycle of the creation, management and
compliance of security policies, procedures, standards and guidelines
 Experience with the processes of identifying appropriate controls to
comply with security policies and regulations
 Experience producing threat and compliance reports for a wide variety of
audiences (technical and non-technical)
Excellent communication and analytical skills
 Must work well with others as part of larger team and be able to
collaborate on cross functional teams
Must be available and willing to work extended and/or alternative hours as
needed for issue resolutions, roll-outs, system upgrades, etc.
Able to work independently toward goals set at a higher level

Dimensions:
3 years of Information Security experience or related field
2 years of experience in the areas of compliance, auditing, risk
assessment, and vulnerability mitigation and remediation.
Knowledge of security best practices (e.g., NIST series); Industry security
standards (e.g., PCI-DSS or HIPPA)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Information Systems or
related field or equivalent experience.
CISSP certification or in the process of attaining

Job Title: Network Security Analyst
Location: NYC
Duration: 12 Months

SCOPE OF SERVICES
The candidate will be responsible for many aspects of Application Security,
System and Infrastructure Security, Network Security, Content Security, and
Security Architecture. The Analyst will work to perform infrastructure and
application security assessments, content security reviews, security
architecture reviews, security monitoring and mitigation.  The Analyst will
build relationships with internal divisions, departments and across
agencies to ensure that appropriate security controls are implemented in
internally developed applications, purchased applications, cloud vendors,
etc.
Job Responsibilities:
Participate in the application security assessment process; ensure that
assessments are performed in a timely fashion, findings are appropriately
handled, and resources are effectively utilized
Review new and existing infrastructure deployments for vulnerabilities
Review network and infrastructure configurations for weaknesses
Facilitate the security assessment program for vendors and audio / video
editing and production facilities
Work with IT divisions and company departments to communicate and enforce
security controls
Participate in enterprise content security policy development
Review changes to existing infrastructure architecture, design and
introduction of new technologies
Real-time monitoring and mitigation of security events
Create technical standards to guide engineering teams on installation and
configuration of new technologies that adopt best practices and are in-line
with existing polices and standards

Mandatory Skill/Expertise
Minimum of 3-5 years of IT experience with a minimum of 2 years in IT
Security
Strong analytical, communication and collaboration skills
Well-organized with the ability to stay on top of multiple projects 
incidents
Ability to work various rotating and non-traditional tours, as needed
(evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, etc.), and to be held for
mandatory overtime.
Strong understanding and experience in application security assessments
Strong understanding and experience in Open Web Application Security
Project (OWASP) Top 10
Experience assessing security of custom built applications, COTS
applications, Cloud applications/services
In-depth knowledge of enterprise networking in relation to IT Security
In-depth understanding of common protocols ranging from mid-level to
application level
Strong understanding of a wide variety of attacks such as cross-site
scripting, network intrusions, malicious emails, web-based attacks,
malware, botnet infections
Experience with all popular OS's including Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, UNIX
/ Linux, IOS, Android, etc.
