Job Title: QA/Test Engineer
Location: Berwyn, PA
Duration: 12+ months
Rate: $45-50/hr on C2C

Education/Requirements/Technical Competencies:
• 4+ years’ experience with software testing or 4 year college degree
(preferably computer software related) (required)
• 2+ years’ experience with manual software testing (required)
• 2+ years of automated software testing(required)
• Knowledge and experience using various testing tools that include but are
not limited to: Quality Center (required) Quick Test Pro (required),
WinRunner, AccVerify, and/or Loadrunner • Knowledge and experience with
SDLC (strongly preferred)
• Experience developing and executing test cases (required)
• Experience with testing batch processes (required)
• Experience with relational databases and writing SQL queries (required)
• Must demonstrate knowledge of fundamental testing principles, concepts
and techniques and have experience recording defects in defect tracking
software (required)
• Working knowledge of current environments and platforms (preferred)
• Experience evaluating and recommending testing tools and techniques.
Perform the administration of testing tools (required)
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and customer service skills (required)
• Detail oriented and strong verbal and written communication skills
(required)
• Strong team player and self-starter (required).
• May require occasional extended hours for testing new systems, problem
resolution, and completion of priority projects (required)
• May require occasional overnight travel for participation in requirements
gathering sessions or development planning sessions (required)

Our Direct Client is looking for QA Test Engineer Position Chicago, IL for

*Job Title:  QA Test Engineer- 4 Openings!*
*Location:  Chicago, IL (Local Only)*

*Main Duties: *
Working with product designers and developers at all stages to promote
quality
Producing test plans and ensuring they are followed
Automate testing
Leading the architecture around QA automation solutions.
Verifying the load, scalability, and performance requirements have been met
Working with developers to perform root-cause analysis and preliminary
problem diagnosis

*Desired Skills and Experience*
Extensive experience in automated testing and using automation tools (such
as SOAPUI, Selenium) is a must
Functional UNIX (Linux/Solaris) including Scripting and automation required
Programming knowledge of Java is a big plus
Ability to work with all types of data formats (Google protocol buffers,
XML, etc)
Experience writing and implementing test plans
Experience with Databases
Ability to perform stress testing on systems
Excellent communication skills required to document and report on defects
and other software issues
Strong problem-solving ability

*Work Experience Requirements: *
5+ years experience in a Quality Assurance role
Understanding of software engineering and web development
Knowledge of the systems management industry an asset

As a Software QA/Test Engineer, you will work alongside software
development teams to ensure the delivery of very high quality Graph
Analytics Software products. Your duties may include:

- Creating test cases from new or existing requirements
- Perform black box and white box testing on products or product components
as needed, through manual, automated or semi-automated means. The test
scope may include but may not be limited to exploratory, smoke, acceptance,
functional, regression, performance, load, stress, security, usability, UX
and system tests
- Create automated test scripts as directed by the QA Lead
- File bugs in the defect tracking system
- Verify bug-fixes and perform regression testing
- Investigate, identify and expand areas of automation
- Communicate quality issues and risks with the software development team
and technical leaders on a daily basis

Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially
considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to
the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying
top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through relevant
previous job experiences, and must be evidenced in the job history on the
resume.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance/Testing
(functional, integration, system, performance, security, etc.)
- Minimum 3 years of testing experience on a mainstream Linux distribution,
proficiency in Linux system and command-line tools, and shell scripting
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Python (preferred) or Perl
- Demonstrated skills in QA tools/troubleshooting techniques

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1+ year of hands-on experience in white-box testing
- 1+ year of hands-on experience create Selenium scripts
- 1+ year of experience testing big data systems and software
(Hadoop/MapReduce, HBase, Hive, Cassandra, Pig, etc.)
- 1+ year of experience using JUnit, JMeter, Git, Maven
- 1+ year of experience with setting up and administering TeamCity (or
other continuous integration software)
