REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in QA/Development; leading
automation team a MUST.
5 years hands-on experience in Application and/or Automation Development.
Multi-year experience managing offshore vendor resources effectively with
direct accountability for vendor contracts aggregating to a minimum of $5M.
Strong knowledge of UI and headless automation and tools like QTP/UFT, SOAP
or Selenium.
Experience with mobile and cloud technologies desired but not mandatory.
Has conceptual knowledge of varying technologies and/or application
development and the ability to make decisions based on that knowledge.
Knowledge of test management /defect tracking tools such as HP ALM/Quality
Center.
Demonstrates good interpersonal skills by displaying an understanding of
the needs and perspectives of others. Able to balance the workload of team
members and supervise individuals of varying abilities.
Ability to represent the QA automation organization in-front of C-level
executives during various presentations, monthly operating reviews, budget
reviews, etc.
Deep understanding of test automation principles, processes and
methodologies and industry trends in QA Automation.
Influence automation concepts, tools and techniques, defining roadmaps for
continuous evolution of QA best practices.
Is able to accurately assess and understand business needs and work with a
sense of urgency to satisfy those needs within negotiated timeframes. Able
to interface effectively with IT and business stakeholders in sensitive
project situations.
Effectively communicates (verbal, written and presentation ability) with
peers and all levels of management (Up to C level).
Ensures area reports/metrics are precise, timely and accurate.
Experience working in a variety of software development methodologies
(waterfall, agile etc.), with experience in Agile a must have.
Demonstrated ability to partner with geographically dispersed resources
(employee and Globally Sourced Partners), establishing and ensuring
adherence to performance standards and deliverables.
Effectively motivates team to exert the effort necessary to attain
organizational goals.
Superior problem solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to
communicate with Information Technology and Business Leadership.
Provides leadership by setting example for team members to follow.
