*Enterprise Release Manager* *Location: El Segundo, CA 90245* *Duration: 2-3 year contract* *Apex Systems / Client: DIRECTV El Segundo (Enterprise Telecommunications Company)* *Required skills:* • Establish, improve, and standardize Enterprise Release management processes and change request process to effectively manage activities through release stages before and through the merger • Document current and to-be business processes, provide recommendations for enhancements and implement changes • Knowledgeable of Six Sigma practices (it is a plus if the candidate is certified in Six Sigma) • Experience with large and/or high volume releases (15-60 releases/year) *Responsibilities:* • Establish, improve, and standardize Enterprise Release management processes and change request process to effectively manage activities through release stages before and through the merger • Negotiate Release schedule issues in dual world processes and schedules with internal customers and reported status to Executives • Facilitate weekly executive Release status review meetings in order to provide status updates to executive for the releases in flight and escalate any issues reported • Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day implementation and operations aspects of the release process and achievement of service levels • Manage all Releases throughout IT Enterprise Lifecycle (from Solution Confirmation through Solution Creation including Release certification) • Organize and facilitate bi-weekly Standup and Late Code drop meetings with PMs and SQA Leads to ensure that projects are meeting deadlines • Coordinate effectively with Application Delivery management (ADM) and Project management (PMO) teams during LOE Rationalization to maximize the project commitments rate • Create and manage various custom reports in Webi to pull combinations of reports to track the release status and progress including publishing weekly Kanban report • Organize IT Operations Huddle to ensure seamless release deployment to production • Coordinate extensively with PMO, ADM, Development, SQA, and UAT teams to meet delivery milestones • Create and manage tracking tool for annual Delivery Roadmap Planning (DRP) • Coordinate with Portfolio Managers and Program Managers to allocate budget for all the projects and sub-projects planned for year 2015 within DRP including project kick-offs • Document current and to-be business processes, provide recommendations for enhancements and implement changes • Developed strong relationship with all teams to educate and gain buy-in of new releases process roll-out and understanding of its value added *Nagarjuna.
