This position prefers a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, and 8+ years of IT work experience. Must have demonstrable working experience in systems design, development, and programming medium-to-large scale distributed or internet based systems and applications, including extensive experience in the following technical disciplines: * System Design and Architecture => 8+ years * Oracle / PL/SQL programming experience => 7+ years * UNIX operating system / scripting experience (including JavaScript) => 5+ years * Web application server (i.e. Oracle 9iAS, Apache, etc.) => 4+ years * XML-related programming experience => 3 years The successful candidate must have thorough knowledge of Oracle DBMS, Oracle PL/SQL, JavaScript, JSP, and XML. Experience working with web-based applications in a UNIX / Oracle DBMS environment is required. Additional Skills Desired: * Front-end experience designing web-based business applications using Oracle, JSP, JQuery, CSS, and HTML; * Extensive graphical design skills * System Design Skills - A person in this role would define the programming approach, assist with the development of the data model, play a primary role in application tuning and understand the complexity required for system interconnectivity and integration. * Experience with version control software (i.e. CVS) is desired.
