Should have experience in installing and configuring various versions of MSSQL server. Should have experience in upgrading MSSQL server to 2005 and 2008. Must have windows scripting skills for monitoring and reporting. Should have experience implementing MSSQL replication. Must have experience is implementing DR solution for MSSQL using log shipping or SQL mirroring. Should be able to hit the ground running & quickly identify the root cause behind the performance issues and provide solutions. Should have experience dealing with MSSQL Dynamic management views and functions for performance analysis. Should have experience using SQL profiler and perfmon for troubleshooting performance issues. Excellent communication & coordination skills is required. Strong initiative and sense of ownership. Should have extensive project management skills dealing with database infrastructure. *Sybase:* 8-10 years of experience in Sybase ASE 12.x & 15.x on UNIX platforms. Should have extensive experience in implementing, configuring & troubleshooting Sybase ASE 15. Must have experience with upgrading Sybase ASE to version 15 Must have UNIX shell scripting skills for monitoring and reporting.
