Job Tittle : QA Analyst Location: Philly PA *(Local candidates Only) * Duration: 6+ months Contract Rate : DOE *Must be able to do a Face to Face interview * *Responsibilities: * Analyze business, system and functional requirements as well as technical detailed design to ensure testability Work with the Business Analyst to ensure that business, system and functional requirements are testable Work with the Developer to ensure that the detailed design is traceable to the business, system and functional requirements Translate requirements into written test plans and detailed test cases, both front end (Browser based) and back end (SQL Server) Create written test scripts using the requirements and detailed design document Execute test cases and test scripts, track and report defects. Considerable back-end (SQL) testing; requires writing SQL scripts, understanding data models and reporting results to the team lead. Identifies test data required to execute test cases and interacts with project team members to ensure the data is available for testing Ensure test cases and test scripts are kept up-to date as the application documentation changes Work closely with the BA and Business Owner to ensure requirements are clear, complete and testable *Qualifications: * Experience performing systems/functional testing in a Waterfall and Agile Software Development environment A working knowledge of a structured test methodology is required 5+ years experience (on multiple projects) as a QA Analyst Experience with all phases and types of testing including System, Integration, Regression and User Acceptance Testing Experience performing systems/functional testing on applications with limited documentation Experience leading the QA test effort on high-profile and complex applications Able to work in a fast paced work environment while maintaining a high level of quality Able to use SQL Server 2005 to pull test data and verify test execution results Able to work independently and as part of a team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Self starter Insurance/Reinsurance data and process knowledge is highly preferred. Candidate should have at the minimum several years experience testing in a complex, financial-services environment, and experience working with insurance applications. Clear verbal and written communication skills – including the ability to communicate large amounts of information in a clear format. Also must be able to listen effectively, incorporate various viewpoints and opinions into a solution, then gain consensus among project stakeholders BS degree in Computer Science or related program is desired. * Thanks & Regards....?
