*Duties:*

·         Capture, analyze and document business requirements for NGS
(Reporting Module)

·         Apply facilitative, elicitation, analytical, writing and
presentation skills to assist the Business Unit in development of Business
Requirements through:

·         Identification, definition, and elaboration of a Business Need or
Problem, which may often be high level, lacking in detail, and imprecisely
understood.

·         Analysis of a Business Need or Problem

·         Development of one or more Alternative Business Solutions

·         Documentation and Presentation in a clear and unambiguous style
of the Business Solution including:

o    Clear Statement of the Business Need or Problem

o    Business Benefits or Goals of the Solution

o    Business Rules

o    Business Relationships

o    Business Definitions

o    Business Process

o    Issues and Risks

o    Impacts (such as: to related business policies, organizations, or
processes, training, IT architecture)

·         Collect, analyze, design and document business and functional
requirements. Input to test plans to ensure data integrity. Define
requirements for data access, security, and quality.

·         Apply concepts of data management systems and their applications
to critically assess the effectiveness and efficiency of data elements.

·         The Business Analyst is responsible for the translation of the
Business Requirements into System Requirements, which describe what the
system, process, or product and its involved actors must do to fulfill the
business requirements.

·         The Business Analyst must make the System Requirements
understandable and acceptable to such involved groups as:

o    Business Unit Management

o    IT Technologists providing the IT solution part of the system

o    Operations and Support Specialists

o    Communications Specialists

o    Training Specialists

o    QA and UAT Analysts

*The Business Analyst develops and presents artifacts describing the System
Requirements including, as appropriate:*

·         Presentations and Diagrams

·         Process Flows

·         Entity Relationship Diagrams

·         Use Cases

·         Other Requirements Documents as appropriate to document and
communicate the System Requirements.

·         The Business Analyst may also be responsible for tracing the
requirements during implementation to ensure that the developed system is
consistent and in scope with the determined system requirements.

·         The Business Analyst frequently closely assists or directs the
testing function in development and evaluation of test cases and test
results.

*Skills:*

·         The Business Analyst frequently manages change for the system
development project for which the business analyst developed the system
requirements.

·         Work with business partners across multiple business functions to
align technology solutions with business strategies.

·         Elicit, identify, develop and write the business, data and
functional requirements.

·         Be able to analyze and provide process improvement
recommendations.

·         Communicate requirements effectively to technical and
non-technical stakeholders.

·         Develop cross-application and enterprise-wide logical/dimensional
data models.

·         Contribute to development of test cases/test approach. May
validate test results during testing.

·         Investigate, resolve and escalate project issues related to
defining and analyzing business requirements.

*Skills/Competencies:*

·         Possess knowledge of techniques and deliverables for analyzing
and documenting logical relationships among the business, processes, or
events within information technology systems – including dimensional
modeling.

·         Understand the principles and practices involved in planning,
managing, and implementing projects and programs.

·         Strong communications skills.

·         Must be comfortable working in a global environment.

·         Also some possible travel involved.

·         Knowledge of Client Quality Center (Client ALM) would be a plus.

*Education:*

·         BS from an accredited college/university or equivalent work
experience

·         5-7 years business experience

·         Work experience in Business Analysis

·         Strong quantitative and analytical skills

·         Ability to act quickly on issues and requests associated with
business needs

·         Ability to work in a fast paced team environment and self-manage,
work well under pressure meeting tight deadlines and possess excellent
interpersonal skills to work well with employees at all levels.

·         Ability to handle multiple tasks and support special project
needs simultaneously

·         Solid experience with requirements analysis, business process
analysis and requirements gathering

·         Strong oral and communications skills

·         Ability to determine appropriate escalation path

·         Strong experience with MS Tools:

o    Word, Excel, Project, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint

o    SQL (writing queries and understanding relational databases)

o    BI technology

·         Ability to prioritize and facilitate assignments with minimal
supervision

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team
