*Position: QA Engineer* *Interview: Phone then Face to face* *Duration: 6 months + contract (w/potential extensions)* *Location: San Francisco, CA* Looking for only about 3 – 5 years of experience. Our innovative client, a software corporation that makes software for the architecture, engineering, construction, and entertainment industries, has an opening for a QA Engineer to join their team. Join the team that makes it easier for Client customers to obtain and deploy products and updates they are entitled to. As Customer Engagement Specialist you will be a member of a tiered technical support team for the Engineering team in charge of Client’s delivery platform and publishing pipeline. Using troubleshooting, problem solving, and communication skills, ensures that technical user problems are properly analyzed, documented, and resolved with the goal of creating an exceptional customer experience and an environment of shared team knowledge. Provides support to internal users and product users. Researches, documents and communicates recurring technical issues. Refers / escalates problems of an unusual, unsolvable nature to the Engineering experts. Responsibilities • Writing, editing and publishing of Technical Solutions • Forum participation • Authoring and contribution to blogs • Respond to support requests, troubleshoot the issue, and provide advice on resolution • Leverage, create and deliver content for delivery platform and pipeline policies. • Participate in product testing events Requirements • 3+ years of professional experience as QA engineer • End-user Product Support experience a plus • BA/BS in computer science or similar field or equivalent experience • Strong familiarity with Windows environment • Scripting skills to automate everything. Python preferred. • Object-oriented development experience. C# and C++ preferred. • Experience with MSI technology and product installs on Windows a plus. • Experience deploying software applications a plus.
