MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Provides first level technical support to remote users, Account Managers,
Vendor
Management, programmers and various staff. 45%
Responsible for basic configuration and testing communications
software/hardware and
basic monitoring of file transfers. 15%
Troubleshoot problems encountered when file transfers are unsuccessful.
Initiates
interaction with established relationships. 25%
Write process scripts for file transmissions. <5%
Request security authorizations. <5%
Provides initial problem determination and resolution of less complex
problems. 10%
Participate in front line production installation meetings. <5%
• Education: Level of knowledge ordinarily acquired through completion of a
Bachelors
degree in MIS, Computer Science, Technical Certification or equivalent work
experience.
• Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of various technical (i.e. Connect:
Direct and Connect:
Enterprise) and communication software. Basic understanding of TCPIP, VPN,
networking and firewalls. Knowledge of Windows and Windows applications.
Previous Experience: Two to three years of related professional experience.
