*GC, EAD-GC or USC* *Location: Skokie, Illinois* * Duration: 6 months* * Interview: Phone, Skype, face to face if local Company: eCommerce Must Have: Experience supporting LAMP applications (PHP applications)* *30% - Integration and Design – *Develops plans and standards for integrating new network hardware and software into the network. *20% - Problem-Solving – *Troubleshoots and/or assists other staff members in solving problems or correcting issues. *30% - Operations – *Installs hardware and software and/or assists other staff members with installing hardware and software including day-to-day operations and maintenance. *20% Consultations – *Consults with business units and assists them in developing solutions to business problems. This would include being the representative from our team to business initiated projects and ensuring that Infrastructure policies and standards are followed as the project develops. In addition, instructs and trains in methods and procedures to other IT teams. *Education, Licensing, Certification, and Experience:* · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field is required · 5 or more years of current enterprise-class Infrastructure/System Engineering experience with UNIX/Linux systems utilizing NAS and SAN attached storage, VMware, backup technologies, and knowledge of Microsoft server experience is a must. · Expert level understanding of Active Directory and how to use Active Directory as the authentication mechanism for other systems. · Experience with planning and designing systems including long term plans, as well as project planning · RHCSA and RHCE Certifications · VMware vSphere ESXi 5 and above Certifications · Working knowledge of backup solutions and practice (e.g. CommVault, and Symantec) · Create documentation detailing procedures and controls · Work to create process and procedures around technology · Maintain updated system documentation and diagrams. · Provide periodic metrics and KPI’s to management. *Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Technical Skills:* Support of LAMP applications is A MUST Operating Systems: Redhat 5/6/7, Windows 2003/2008/2012, VMware, AIX Data Storage: Shared Storage Systems (SAN, NAS), Backup and Recovery Systems, Archiving Systems Applications/Systems: Unix, shell scripting (SAN/NAS, Perl, Python, or Ruby), basic networking knowledge, knowledge of MySQL or SQL server, storage system knowledge (FC, NFS, iSCSI), knowledge of configuration tools (Puppet, Chef), VMWare knowledge, system monitoring tools (SNMP or Nagios), Active Directory management.
