*Position: Middleware Administrator* *Location: **Memphis, TN (downtown)* *Duration:** 9 months plus likely extensions possible CTH* *GC citizen only* *No EAD OPT please* *Start Date:* ASAP *Job Function:* Responsible for all system activities related to managing the enterprise computing systems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with software and hardware maintenance and updates, installation of new products, performance evaluation, capacity planning and producing related system metrics. Also responsible for researching and formally documenting system software and hardware. Responsible for working with Sr Admins and Enterprise Architects to design and architect new processes and systems. Performs deployments, as required, without supervision. *Key job responsibilities include: * - Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers. - Maintain configuration of various middleware components, including: - Weblogic, Jboss, Tomcat and Apache , MQ Series, API Manager - Installation, Domain Configuration and deployment. - Technical troubleshooting on complex issues requiring rapid resolution - Best practice security configurations including SSL certificate installation and configuration. - Analyze performance issues reported in application, troubleshoot the issues and address root cause. - Proactive performance optimization and tuning. - Establish and apply best practices, to ensure successful implementation of solution designs through collaborative project team communication, planning documentation, system testing, and defect resolution. - Assist with the evaluation and implementation of new technology initiatives. - Respond to data center alerts related to middleware and provide level 2/3 support. - Applying Middleware Patches. - Apply application or configuration patches/releases provided by the product teams. - Perform as-is and to-be architecture analysis and develop physical and logical deployment models for the application, web and mid-tier environments. - Manage day-to-day efforts toward department accomplishments. - Participate in project planning and project status communications. - Understand customer requests/problem and provide technical solution in timely manner. *Specific technical knowledge and experience required*: (Mandatory) - 5-8 years of progressive experience in technical role. - 5+ years of experience in technical operations (deployment, implementation, integration, and/or administration) in a modern middleware based environment - Solid understanding of JavaEE, XML, Web Services, Web Servers, and Application Servers. - Solid understanding of Oracle WebLogic and IBM MQSeries architecture and administration. - Understanding of JVM, WebLogic and MQ configuration, tuning, troubleshooting and monitoring. - The position requires the ability to work individually or in a team environment. - Prioritization of day-to-day activities and long-term project-oriented tasks is essential. - The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
