*Technical/Functional Skills*
• Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in business,
finance, mathematics, computer science or related field
• Typically possesses at least 3+ years of experience
conducting data analysis, and at least 8+ years of experience in
Information Technology field.
• Must have experience with SQL and Excel for data
analysis and presentation.
• Demonstrated experience working with large data sets
and loves to work with data.
• Demonstrated experience supporting multiple data
management or ETL projects. Hands-on experience with ETL tools and
processes a plus.
• Experience fine-tuning SQL and stored procedures for
performance. Run profiler and suggest modifications to SQL design and/or
indexing to help enhance performance.
• Experience with troubleshooting data quality issues
and implementing a resolution – either using SQL code, and helping ETL
developers implement the resolution using the ETL tool.
• Experience in designing optimal warehouse
table/schemas against business requirements.
• Demonstrated experience establishing performance
metrics and tracking results to optimize productivity and quality.
• Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Visio, data modeling tools.
• Must demonstrate effective resource and project
planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability
to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
• Must demonstrate strong ethics, influence and
negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the
ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.
• Hands-on experience developing data models, data
queries, stored procedures and other data operations
• Experience monitoring and tuning queries and data
loads, addressing user questions concerning data integrity is a plus.
• Experience with documenting data flows and mapping –
against business requirements or reverse-engineered requirements.
• Strong data analysis, business analytics, and data
modeling skills and experience
• Strong written and oral communication skills are
required
• Excellent knowledge of the following technologies:
· Data integration tools and/or equivalent ETL tools
· Data modeling tools e.g. ERWIN
· Data management tools e.g. Toad, SQL workbench

*Roles Responsibilities*
• Gathers, documents, analyzes complex healthcare or
consumer centric data based on independent research and analysis.
• Reverse engineer SQL like code developed using
technologies like SAS, into requirements documents, that can be used to
design and develop ETL applications.
• Develops models, methodologies, data analysis, to
manage business needs and identify any new data anomalies for review,
mitigation, and action, if required.
• Presents analysis, metrics, data sources,
alternative data sorts or recommendations to management and business
operations.
• Accountable for the data quality - accuracy and
integrity of information, assumptions, sources of data,
statistical/graphical representations, work process documentation and
understanding of business value to support alternative recommendations.
Responsible for researching and resolving bad data or transactions
contributing to bad data quality.
• Integrate work across relevant areas, developing
strategies to enhance satisfaction and productivity, managing information
and providing exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in Joint Application Design (JAD)
sessions with business customer and/or technical staff as needed to elicit
and/or refine data requirements. Document requirements in a business and
system requirements document.
• Design conceptual processes for implementing data
standardization, transformation, enrichments, cleansing.
• Research, develop and document complex data
relationships that describe and support business problems and business
rules. Use tools to develop logical and physical data models to document
these relationships.
• Utilize advanced SQL skills for data mining and
analysis on databases in Linux (or equivalent) operating systems
