** *SENIOR C++ EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER *
*Oshkosh, WI,* *12 Months Contract* *SUMMARY* As a Software Engineer, you will design and develop software applications for embedded Linux displays to be used in the heavy-trucking industry. This position requires interacting with customers, project management, translators, systems engineers, testers and other developers. You will be responsible for the entire software lifecycle, from requirements, through test and maintenance. *ESSENTIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES* 1. Design new and maintain existing GUI’s to support customer needs 2. Interact with XML files using XPath and a DOM type interface 3. Develop test plans to verify GUI applications 4. Complete Object oriented programming using C++ 5. Support management in developing hour estimates and requirements 6. Participate in software peer reviews 7. Support supervisor, suppliers, engineering specialists, and other departments to execute job assignments 8. Participate in cost studies, project time estimation, and technical proposals 9. Use reasonable foresight to identify vehicle operation and maintenance risks and control them within acceptable levels 10. Write requirements and design documentation 11.
