The successful candidate must have strong MySQL Server database administrator skills, basic MS SQL Server database administrator skills and demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows system administration skills. The ideal candidate will have excellent database management skills, and be proactive in capacity planning and performance tuning. Perform architecture, design and support for various MySQL databases and optimize them as per application needs. Implement enterprise level MySQL backup and recovery procedures. Perform data movement operations as per the request from application teams. Troubleshoot performance issues and monitor MySQL servers. Provide on call support and occasional week-end support. Install, configure and maintain MySQL environments and customize them as per application needs. Perform basic Microsoft SQL database duties as required, but grow into strong SQL skills with experience. Pro-actively monitor and plan capacity. High skill level and experience is required for the following: Strong MySQL database analytical and decision making skills. Demonstrated MySQL database configuration and administration experience. Demonstrated MySQL database performance tuning experience. Demonstrated MySQL database backup and data recovery experience. Medium skill level and experience is required for the following: Demonstrated MySQL report writing experience. Demonstrated knowledge of Windows (2008 R2/2012) system administration skills Low skill level and experience is required for the following: Microsoft SQL Server database analytical and decision making skills. Demonstrated Microsoft SQL Server database configuration and administration experience. Demonstrated Microsoft SQL Server database performance tuning experience.
