The in-house tool is written in Perl-CGI and we wish to write modern Web services so that programmatic access to the tool can be accomplished from other internal research software tools. Requirements Knowledge and experience with RESTful API/Services Proficient in a Java with experience developing web services in same. Ability to understand Perl and CGI a strong plus Experience with version control systems Proficient in programming in the Linux environment Front end development experience a plus Responsibilities Create Web services for internal research tool. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical field required, advanced degree in those fields highly preferred. Complementary degree/major in Biology or Bioinformatics is a strong plus.
