Job Description:

As a network engineer for our client, you will be not only responsible for
monitoring and support of a large-scale IP network spanning across the
world, but also be expected to finish network related projects
independently.

Skill set:   Your common responsibilities including but not limited to

·  To configure new switches and routers based on standard
templates

·  To configure switch and router ports (VLAN, Speed, Duplex
and etc.) when requested

·  To collaborate with other teams and finish network related
projects

·  To troubleshoot network issues

·  To improve our process and tools

·  To improve our existing documents and write new documents

·  To take on the on-call role that provides support to the
level-1 and layer-2 network operations team (The 7x24 on-call role is being
rotated among a group of network engineers.)



QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree or higher.

· Strong interests in IP network technology

· Familiar with LAN switching and routing basics.

· Familiar with routing protocols like static route, OSPF, BGP and
etc.

· Familiar with some common FHRP, for example HSRP and VRRP

· Familiar with the commonly used spanning tree protocols, for
example PVST+, MST and etc.

· Basic knowledge about 802.11 wireless networks

· Basic knowledge of TCP/IP and other commonly used network
protocols.

· Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix.

· Good English and communication skills.



PREFERRED SKILLS

· Experience with large-scale IP network

· Experience with network devices

· Experience with service providers

· Experience with enterprise 802.11 wireless network

· CCNA or equivalent knowledge
