Title: Cisco Wirless Networking Engineer posted on 2014-06-10 19:58:27 Job Description: Cisco Wireless Engineer-Bellevue, WA Summary: The Cisco Wireless Engineer will have a strong track record of designing solutions that enable people to collaborate and solve problems quickly and spontaneously. The ideal candidate has comprehensive knowledge and deployment experience of Cisco Wireless technologies. Duties: Perform client consultation: plan, design, implement, and maintain wireless LAN/WAN hardware and software using the latest technology, including networks, routers, servers, and Cisco ISE. Assist in designing servers and networks: analyze business needs and recommend solutions Identify and troubleshoot hardware and software technical problems related to wireless Participate in various client projects intended to continually improve/upgrade wireless infrastructures Understand client's infrastructures, their needs and provide expertise and consulting on Cisco solutions Provide internal assistance on the Cisco solutions, product plans and roadmaps Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems Assist with day to day project management duties during client installations Provide systems administration training to clients Updates the Professional Services Manager (PSM) and Project Manager on scheduling and project status Proficient in understanding, developing and delivering scope of works, hour / cost estimates and client deliverables Develop and deliver professional proposals, including design documentation Ability to provide oral and written reports on the client needs, problems, interests, market situations, competitive activities, and potential for new products/services Be knowledgeable about products, applications, technical service, market conditions, and competitive activities. Other duties as assigned Job Requirements: Experience with wireless site survey, network design, and implementation Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline strongly preferred; equivalent experience acceptable CCNP, CCDP, or CCIE certification preferred Demonstrated knowledge of Voice Grade Wireless, Location Based Wireless and Data Grade Wireless standards Familiarity with Ekahau, Air Magnet or other monitoring solutions Strong understanding of TCP/IP and ability to install and troubleshoot LANs and WANs Experience designing network solutions given client requirements and goals Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate projects Excellent written and oral communication skills Self-motivated and desire to succeed Works safely and responsibly to avoid injury/property damage, while maintaining a clean work area Physical Demand & Working Environment: While performing the duties of this position, individuals may be required to stand for extended periods of time using handheld equipment and power tools. May encounter frequent climbing of stairs and ladders. This position also requires the ability to spend time walking, standing, and touring medical and other facilities.
