*Qualifications*

*Experience: *

• 8-10 years of experience administering various
multi-Terabyte, 24x7 uptime Oracle databases. *MUST HAVE 2+ YEARS OF LEAD
EXPERIENCE*

• Experience working with Oracle versions 10g, 11g and 12c in a
UNIX environment a must.

• Strong programming experience in PL/SQL, UNIX shell
scripting, PowerShell and Perl/Python.

• Prior experience in software development is a strong plus

• Experience with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), ASM,
Oracle Data Guard and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) is required.

• Experience with Oracle 12c Goldengate in a RAC environment is
a plus.

• Experience with Backup and Recovery using Oracle RMAN and
Veritas NetBackup.

• Experience with Database security, access management and
monitoring.

• Experience fulfilling regulatory compliance auditing and
evidence collection (Sarbanes Oxley).



Education:

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems is
preferred.



Preferred Qualifications:

• DBA experience with MS SQL Server and Teradata is a strong
plus.

• Prior Retail Industry experience is a plus.

Position Summary

Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an Oracle database
administrator in a production environment.Excellent performance tuning
skills for tuning critical databases and jobs. Proactively prevent database
issues by closely monitoring the databases on a regular basis and
implementing the tools and procedures required to maintain a very stable
environment. Responsible for administering, analyzing, recommending,
designing, developing, enhancing and supporting data structures and data
processes required to meet business objectives. Contributes considerable
business and technical knowledge to complex IT projects.

*DBA Duties and Responsibilities*

• Participates in or leads a Data Engineering Team supporting
one or more application projects

• Works with the Application Project manager to estimate, plan
and manage the DE activities and deliverables.

• Updates and communicates project status to management and
users.

• Contributes to the design, development, maintenance and
documentation of data flows for scheduled and straight-through processing
as they relate to the database

• Engage and collaborate with the infrastructure DBA teams to
ensure delivery of DB infrastructure components. Ensure integration of DE

• Understands existing and new business requirements and makes
recommendations for new technology adoption where appropriate

• Maintains technical currency in database, and data management
trends through research/education/self-motivated training and personal

• Mentors and educates colleagues with respect to database

• Computer Science or Business degree or equivalent working
experience

• 7-10 years’ experience in the Information Technology field
with a minimum of 5 years’ experience specifically supporting Oracle
Databases.

• Knowledgeable of Datapump utility

• Knowledgeable of Oracle Enterprise Manager

• Oracle PL/SQL experience is a plus

• Oracle RAC experience is a plus
