*Position: QA Tester* *Location: NYC, NY* *Duration: 6-9 months* New position description for the *QA with Pension experience* for midtown NYC based client. ASAP need 6-9 months. In person interviews The QA Consultant will be responsible for performing functional and regression testing for the Pension project (s). *Responsibilities:* - Develop Test Plan and Test Strategy documents - Develop test cases for functional testing - Perform functional, regression, system end to end testing - Report issues in Jira and provide appropriate issue escalation - Generate test execution reports on a daily basis during the testing phase - Participate in Scrum meetings *Domain Knowledge:* - In-depth understanding and knowledge of Defined Benefit (DB) Pension - > 5+ years of experience o Administration o Calculations (HAC, Credited Services) o Billing o Collections o Retiree Benefits *Required Skills:* - 5+ years’ experience with testing methodology and techniques - Understanding of good testing principles including negative testing. - Solid understanding of Scrum framework (sprints, stories, velocity) • Strong understanding of MySQL, Oracle SQL, or any other relational database • Strong analysis and follow up skills is a MUST • Experience with Jira/Confluence for bug tracking and documentation - Experience with TestRail, or any other test management tool • Proven ability to formulate and execute test plans and test cases • Excellent written and verbal communication skills *Additional Skills:* • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. · Proven ability to communicate openly and effectively. • A self-starter who can deliver well as part of a team · Ability to efficiently manage time *EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:* · BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or relevant experience. · A minimum of 5 years’ QA experience performing functional and regression testing · A minimum of 5 years’ experience with relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL, or MySQL).
