your most updated resume with contact details ASAP. *Job Title : SENIOR ETL DEVELOPER * *Location : CHICAGO, IL* *Duration: 3-6 months contract* *Start Date : Immediate* Primary Purpose: Utilize knowledge of data warehousing methodology and techniques to effectively meet the demands of this challenging area. Primary emphasis will be in the area of Data Warehouse and Decision Support Systems that focus on strategic, tactical, and operational business metrics. Design, develop, and implement ETL solutions. Position Dimensions 1.BS or BA degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience, is required. Informatica certification is strongly desired. 2.Demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing concepts, such as warehousing and data mart methodologies. This would include metadata management as well as process flow management and life cycle management. 3.Technical abilities in deploying N-Tiered, web enabled, data warehousing / decision support systems. 4.Expert knowledge of ETL processing, with extensive knowledge of Informatica as the data integration tool. 5.Extensive experience performing Data Modeling with the business and IT 6.Strong SQL skills are required, with an emphasis on performance tuning. 7.Some experience with Data Stage or Information Server is a plus. 8.Some experience with Business Objects or other report writer products is a plus. 9.Thorough knowledge and understanding of Unix environment. 10.Experience in documenting work flow and processes, from both a technical and a business perspective. 11.Experience with DB2 UDB or other relational databases. Must show ability to utilize features that promote performance, stability and reliability. 12.Requires good, and effective, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing, is critical. 13.Technical knowledge of data formats and interfaces (XML/ADO/ODBC/JDBC). Technical knowledge of Online Analytical Processing (OLAP/ROLAP) and supporting database structures. 14.Good analytical skills. 15.Ability to focus on priorities, work on multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and to meet deadlines. 16.Minimum of 4+ years system development or production support experience in a Unix, database environment. Minimum of 4+ years’ experience using SQL. Minimum of 3+ years’ experience using Informatica. Minimum of 3+ years of data warehousing experience involving data integration. 17.Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience. 18.General IT skills needed: Ability to work within formal Change Management methodologies Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and processes Must be able to work on multiple, concurrent projects in a matrixed personnel environment.
