Title: Package Engineer Duration: 6+ Months Location: New York Job Responsibilities: Individual contributor position responsible for assisting in package development, engineering and testing functions for new and revised packaging projects. Provides sourcing assistance for new components and products, contacts vendors on project timeline, troubleshoots production and delivery problems, develops and implements specifications for individual components and finished goods, develops specifications consistent with manufacturing capabilities and requirements. Participates in the graphic arts implementation, consults with various merchant groups on package design. Develops quality standards for suppliers and compliance with environmental requirements. In the lab, tests new materials and conducts compatibility evaluations. Bachelor's degree in Package Engineering or equivalent experience. 2 - 4 years experience in package engineering. Here are a few things that should be on resume: 1. Package Engineering experience. 2. experience in package development from conception to commercialization 3. Knowledge in testing, and writhing specs and bill of material. 4. collaboration / interaction with cross functional teams during development of projects. 5.
