Candidates must have U.S work experience. Only send candidates who meet all of the requirements Team is looking for strong Java server side developer who has knowledge of SQL and should have exposure to C#, they don’t have to be experts at that. Candidate should have Spring, Hibernate or related framework. Should have experience also in taking part in design and the architecture side as well, but again, most mid-senior level developers will already have that exposure. Keep in mind NOT looking for architects. *Main Function* Sr. Java Contractors to build out a new Independent Price Verification (IPV) Reference Data platform as part of joint Reference Data/Finance initiative. IPV is a critical regulatory priority for the firm, allowing the firm to validate its internal pricing with independent sources. The platform, VRE, will allow the firm fine-grained control over its Price Verification processes. VRE will support numerous high performance data sourcing distribution channels. In-memory distributed caching and various performance optimization techniques are heavily employed to enable timely availability of Pricing Data for Finance IPV users *Main Duties* *Specific Responsibilities* . Implement application VRE services in Java and C# .Net, covering every aspect of data processing and client servicing required by the Finance division. Specific reference data services include: Product Static Service Pricing Service Price Rules Engine Price Workflow Engine . Work in heterogeneous environment at all layers of the technology stack (JBoss, IIS, C# .Net, MS SQL, Tibco EMS (JMS), Coherence, Shell Scripts…) Develop interface specifications (XSD) and implementations (SOAP, JMS) which allow for SOA-based orchestration of business processes Provide Level 3 support to London/NY-based business users *Essential Requirements* . Over 7 years experience programming in applications using J2EE specs including Java, JMS, JDBC, XML, Servlets, JTA, Eclipse Over 3 years of experience in Financial IT industry . Over 2 years of experience programming using C# .Net. Solid on coding fundamentals e.g. Object-Oriented design, data structures and dependency injection. Experience in enterprise-level integration technologies including SOAP and Messaging, in Java Hands-on experience in widely used third party frameworks (e.g. Spring, Hibernate) . Experience in enterprise-level Distributed Caching (preferably Coherence) Ability to implement simple Linux shell scripts Hands on experience with deployment technologies such as Ant, and SVN . Hands on experience with Databases technologies preferably Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL Server. The candidate must be highly self-motivated confident and mature, well developed analytical and problem solving skills with the aptitude to learn as well as a flexibility to adapt to change.
