  Job Description



The ORT Management (Production Test Engineer (PTE)) has primary
accountability for the management and execution of production testing for
an assigned project, which may include one or more of the following
phases:  UCT, Post deployment UAT, ORT.

Responsibilities -

Key participant in Project Level Test scenario Matrix (TSM) Transition
(UCT/PDU/ORT)

Provides analysis of, and acceptance details of, project TSM (UCT/PDU/ORT)

Prepares test cases/scripts (low detailed ones at application and screen
level)

Identifies production testing resources

Reviews test cases with, and gain baseline votes from, key stakeholders

Manages pre-inventory build, if required

Identifies IDs for conditioning and provide to IT Project Manager, if
required

Loads test execution schedule into Quality Center, including detailed test
cases, completion guidelines, and planned start and end dates

Assesses and identifies tester training needs, if required, and ensure
training needs are met

Reviews production entry/exit criteria for client testing to assess
compliance

Confirms process compliance for test customer usage in production

Engage relevant Operational stakeholders and seek commitment to support

Attend Business process engineer Review meeting for newly transitioned
project

Schedules and facilitates Production Test Readiness Review (TRR) Meeting
for newly transitioned project

Conducts production testing kick-off meeting

Manages execution of client testing, including issue handling (i.e. TTs)

Maintains test schedule, and testing re-prioritization, as needed

Provides regular progress  status reporting

Creates impact analysis for testing change requests, if required

Works with Business process engineers to validate and accept production
test results

Serves as first level of escalation within test management to resolve prior
to escalation to Test Lead and/or Program Lead

Conducts project exit reviews and distribute exit votes

Participates in close out activities, including Lessons Learned



*Skills *

*(2-5 years experience in managing UAT/ORT)*

Good Telco product and process background in MPLS (VPN), VoiP, Ethernet,
CPE, Leased lines, Cloud Compute and other Layer 2/3/4 services

Assertive, Proactive and Persuasive to achieve ontime delivery
